Bryant,
Thank you for that. Please understand that I am still new to these rules and I am learning some areas as I go. I’m not 100% yet but will be there soon.
As official ‘house rules’ get put into place, I will post them on this Portal and make sure everyone is aware.
On that note, how does everyone feel about the dice roll for location vs. the inverted attack roll method? Through the roll adds an extra step, it also increases that change of successful head shots.
I would say this game session was good. However, I did notice there were several variants to the book rules that came up. I’m perfectly fine with house rules, but to clarify for future games I would suggest that a list of house rules be recorded somewhere so everyone is aware of them, and they can be refered to later (Perhaps a wiki page with a simple listing of house rules, and what book rule(s) they replace?).
I also noticed durring the one time I saw our Librarian use his Force Weapon there may have been rule confusion. To help clarify Force Weapons (I know at least in 40k a Force Weapon is horrifyingly effective in melee) I hunted down the general rules for Force Weapons for future reference to clarify any confusion.
PG 155 Deathwatch Core Book: Force Weapon General rules…
…Unless wielded by a psyker, force weapons simply count
as a Common Astartes-sized weapon of the appropriate type
with the Damage listed in the weapon’s profile. However, in
the hands of a wielder with a Psy Rating, they are much more
potent. For every point of Psy Rating the wielder has, the
weapon’s Damage and Penetration increase by 1. For example,
an Astartes force sword wielded by a character with Psy Rating
3 would inflict 1d105 (plus SB) and have a Penetration of 5.
In addition to normal Damage, whenever a psyker damages
an opponent, he may, as a Free Action, channel psychic force
and killing will into the blade. This requires a Focus Power
Test using Opposed Willpower. For every degree of success,
the force weapon’s wielder deals an additional 1d10 Damage,
ignoring the victim’s Armour and Toughness Bonus. Force
weapons cannot be destroyed by a power weapon’s field.
Deathwatch: Alpha & Omega Comments
No game on Thursday….only Saturday!
My hope in using the portal was to encourage such behavior.
Just out of curiosity, have we thought of anything to do in between games (via the portal) to kill time? Fluff, backstory type stuff, whatever?
Sall good. I’m still unfamiliar with some of the rules myself. We are all learning this as we go.

I’ll let the group decide.
